About Greg Taylor
Greg Taylor was a respected figure skater who excelled nationally and internationally as an amateur and as a professional. After arriving in Euclid in 1990, Greg Taylor served as a coach to many skaters at the C.E. Orr Arena and was Euclid’s Learn to Skate Director for five years. Euclid’s rink was dear to Greg’s heart and so he wanted his legacy to help insure its future. Therefore upon Greg’s death on September 19, 2003 the Greg Taylor Memorial Fund was created in accordance with his wishes.

About The Greg Taylor Memorial Fund
The Greg Taylor Memorial Fund was created in 2003 as a tribute to Greg. The fund was created to carry out his legacy of excellence in skating for both male and female skaters. There are three categories of the Greg Taylor Memorial Fund.
The Greg Taylor Memorial Trophy
The Greg Taylor Memorial Trophy is awarded to the first place male skater in the highest level basic skills event. It is awarded annually at the Celebrate Skate competition in January.
Our 2018 Recipient is Cole Petrick of the Stronsville Skating Club.
The Greg Taylor Memorial Fund Learn to Skate Award
The purpose of this award is to foster the development of beginner skaters in the Learn to Skate Program. This award is only for learn to skate,skaters who are in basic 5 or high and complies with the criteria as listed in the Greg Taylor Memorial Fund Learn to Skate Award. The skater must nominated by a parent or guardian. More to come!
The Greg Taylor Memorial Euclid Blade and Edge Figure Skating Club Member Award
The purpose of this award is to encourage the continued commitment of advanced skaters. This award is specifically awarded to a Euclid Blade and Edge Member who complies with the criteria as listed in the Greg Taylor Memorial Euclid Blade and Edge Figure Skating Club Member Award. More to come!
